Head teacher – Peter Atherton.

St Teresa`s church is adjacent to the school. The parish has strong

links with the school. The children visit the church, during school hours,

regularly throughout the year for celebrations of worship. A recent Ofsted

report stated: “The headteacher ensures that the ethos of the school

complies with its Catholic mission. That mission is alive and effective here,

and all staff support the headteacher in working to fulfill it.”

It is important that when you go into hospital that either you,

or your family, make it clear to the ward staff that you are a

Catholic and wish your presence in hospital to be made known

to the Catholic Chaplaincy. Strict data protection laws mean

that the information is not passed along automatically.

If you wish to receive Holy Communion, the Sacrament of the

Sick or Reconciliation during your stay, you must communicate

that desire to hospital staff formally. Please ensure that your

family are also aware of your wishes in the event that you are

unable to make them known for yourself.
